Philip Merch is a photographer and cinematographer working across a wide range of visual styles. His work does not confine itself to a single aesthetic — instead, he adapts his approach to the project, the brand, and the story being told. Versatility is a defining element of his visual language.
He has been working with image and motion since early childhood, first picking up a camera at the age of six. This early start evolved into years of hands-on experience in both photography and film production. Along the way, he developed strong technical foundations working as a gaffer, gaining in-depth knowledge of lighting, set work, and professional production workflows.
Philip is the founder and owner of Westside Studio — a breakthrough space on the creative map of Warsaw. More than a photography studio, it is a multifunctional environment offering a wide range of possibilities for visual production. Westside Studio also serves as a meeting point for creatives, a venue for exhibitions, workshops, and educational courses, fostering collaboration, exchange, and the development of visual culture.
In his work, he values quality, adaptability, and a deep understanding of each client’s needs, while maintaining a distinct authorial character in every project.
